Cooling, Heavenly Nectar Is Here!

Earlier this week we received most helpful confirmation from some Twitter followers that the world’s greatest beer, Nova Scotia’s Alexander Keith’s, had indeed arrived in our region. A special thanks to GaryJ06 for the store find in Montgomery County (Grape Expectations). We welcome in comments each and every beer store location all about the region providing this holy water. It’s been a brutally long and hot summer, but with this news we’re afforded one mighty and magical oasis.

Beer store owners in our region, be forewarned: Expect men to kiss you full on the mouth in your stores this summer

Talk about home improvement!

I have been carrying it all summer at my store. I jumped on ordering it as soon as it came available. Then I saw where they made it and I became a little sad. Oh well.

  5. Robert, by all means share a plug here for your store. You especially should be patronized. If you’re in MoCo, I’m buying from you.

I work for the county liquor store in Kensington. We only carry the pale ale, though I could easily get the lager. Personally I would rather be drinking it at a bar in Halifax than Montgomery county.

I look forward to trying it (hope I can find it in Howard County), but you guys need to get serious: the World’s Greatest Beer is Augustiner lager, available only in one liter steins in Bavaria during Oktoberfest. I had it in 2006. Also, Stieglbrau, Salzburg, Austria’s lager (brewery is 500 years old). Had that this past Christmas week. Quaffability of both of these beers is beyond belief.

Heads up they have cases of Alexander Keith’s Nova Scotia Brown Ale for $20.99 at Rodman’s on Wisconsin Ave NW DC. Great beer thanks for the suggestion.
