Of course Milbury is a thug and an idiot. But the Capitals Outsider blogger really was being a jerk too. And the "I didn't know who Milbury was" defense is just lame. It may have been a legitimate question, but that taunting tone from someone with press access...very uncool. The Caps are winners, Ovechkin is so obviously, historically great - time to stop being so defensive and start learning how to win with some class.

OFB - great work. Watching the demoralized and suddenly quiet Pens fans leaving the phone booth was priceless. But, please write an article on why Milbury is a dinosaur and a goon - and exactly what hockey does not need. He's a chump and sets offensive hockey back 50 years. I can't believe NBC has this oaf as a commentator - do we have to listen to him at the Olympics too? Figures he'd assault a reporter for asking him to explain himself.

Agree with Penguin Pete. After that, the Super Bowl fell flat. It had its moments - Saints' interception and 74-yard TD run was a thing of beauty - but does that compare to a heart-pounding finish between two teams who hate each other? I don't think so.

It was a real pleasure to watch that game. Rarely this season have I felt lower than down 4-2, starting the 3rd with the Penguins having a 5-3 power play. Is there anyone left who doesn't understand what David Steckel and Boyd Gordon bring to this team?

The Pens fans can crow all they want about it being just a regular season game. This game was as big as a game could be for this part of the regular season. We won. Again. I'm going to be happy about this game for a long time. At least until the playoffs start....

Couldn't help but think, as that final puck went in that net, of this very blog and how it would describe what was arguably the best game I've watched all season.

Excellent work by the fine folks at OFB, and of course, by Ovie and Company for pulling out the victory.

It's a true pleasure to watch the Caps play and to read about it here.

Cheers.
