Steckel on Overtime

For those of you who have not checked out the newest sports station in town, you’re missing out. 106.7 The Fan has talked more Caps hockey since the format swap over the summer than the other station has in its years of broadcasting. Every on-air personality has talked about the Caps, and it hasn’t just been lip service. They’ve also had many of the Caps on-air. One of the latest examples came on Wednesday night when Dave Steckel called into Overtime with Holden Kushner.

They are also very active on Twitter. Give ‘em a listen and a follow.

I personally refuse to listen to that station until Mike Wise is off the air. There is something about the way on 3 seperate times I’ve called in to talk Caps, and I’ve been disconnected while he announced on the air “I guess no one wants to talk hockey.” Or maybe it’s how he’s gone out of his way to antagonize and attack all Caps fans in the area. Or maybe it’s the time he called me a “Nazi” and a “nobody” in the comments section of one of his articles in the post. It’s not like I’m missing much though, after all, it is Mike Wise.

  2. I understand those sentiments, but a few things, the other station isn’t better AT ALL and the other personalities, namely Arrington and Dukes along with Kushner have gone out of their way to include the Caps.
