   Caps-related? *shrug* About as relevant to hockey as people walking around in Santa hats, or having those hideous green player shirts for St Patrick’s Day the the league markets.
   Got himself on tv, so he has a gimmick. Good for him. Just one more of the many personalities that makes the Caps fanbase fun. A guy with a horn. A guy with a cowbell. A guy with a voice. A guy with a cloak and lightning orbs. A guy in a spacesuit. The kid with the chicken-hat. A guy with paints his head red and beard white. Asian dancing guy (more at Wizards games but has made Caps appearances too). A gal who shrieks. A few who make really kick-ass signs. The guy in the numbered bathrobe. A guy with a helmet that has a goal light mounted on top. A guy who wears a conference banner as a cape and announces the time and the temperature. The dude who learned Russian just so he could curse at Semin. etc etc etc.

   But the cowbell guy, ugh. Anyone ever sat near this guy? Most annoying thing ever. A couple years back I sat in that sec. for a random game. I wanted take it out of his hand and beat him with it. Clang-Clang-Clang-Clang for 2 1/2 hrs. He even shouted Hip Hip Huet every time Huet made a save. I couldn’t believe how lame that was.

   Dan Steinberg had a blog entry on him today. Grooven lists fans who do things that are unique to them. This guy told Steinberg that a friend wore the suit to a game when he did not go. That makes this NOT unique to him and comes across as something to just bring attention to himself and not just another quirky Caps fan. Time for mission control to call the spaceman home.
