Great notes. I fell asleep at the start of the 3rd. Man, do we miss Brashear or what? Koci would have flattened if he'd have been on the ice for that hit on Green, and let's not discount the fact that Brashear might have beat his ass prior to the hit even occurring. Deterrence, baby! The only thing Bradley deters is the cut man from leaving extra stitches back at the hospital.

Great game notes. Last night was the second time I've seen the Caps play the Avs at the pepsi center in person.

I was nervous going in. The Avs are young, fired up, and have high altitude fitness on their side.

What they don't have on their side is the crowd. The pepsi center is like a crypt. I was sitting in a section with about 8 other Caps fans and we were the only noise source for much of the game.

As noted in the above review, the Avs seemed completely flat. The fight early in the first period seemed manufactured to get the teams fired up. Fortunately for the Caps, it worked for one team and not the other.

The Caps were doing a great job keeping pressure on and were playing their game. I had 3 hockey newbies with me and the team really impressed them. It was nice to see that they look good even when one is not looking through rose (or maybe just RED) colored glasses.
