Hello Cap Space, Hello Alzner and Wilson

With the new found cap room, the Caps made a few moves today.

I’m sorry to see Perreault go. He seemed sluggish Saturday night, but had been very impressive before that and always added a scrappy jolt when on the ice. I don’t pretend to understand the cap nuances here – can someone explain the rationale behind this move?

Perreault might need a little more seasoning. He looks great handling the puck, but his numbers just aren’t there. 7 points in 18 games is insufficient reason to keep him with the big club.

ENOUGH! I haven’t seen a so-called “top team” give up more short-handed goals and 2 goal leads and folding in the third. If these guys don’t bear down and correct their mistakes they’ll be exposed as frauds.
