"We have amazing fans!"

Our friend Dmitry Chesnokov chatted with Semyon Varlamov and Alexander Semin after the Caps’ 6-4 win over Toronto Saturday night. In particular I was impressed with Varlamov’s enthusiasm for the Washington faithful:

We have amazing fans! They were great tonight! They are great every
night! It feels wonderful to play in front of a home crowd like this.
They give us inspiration, after all, we play for them, and it’s an
amazing feeling to see so many great fans in the stands.

His drive to be the best is encouraging as well — the frustration of his third period is evident in the full interview.

Dmitry’s discussion with Semin, too, is a worthwhile read and can be found here, including this excerpt:

Let the rest be scared of us, than for us to be scared of how
someone is going to play against us. Let them study our game. What is
it to us? We will just go out and play our best, just like we have been
playing. I don’t think it makes sense to change your game for anyone.
