Last month I was contacted by Adam Proteau of The Hockey News. Adam was working on the cover story for the September 7th edition of the magazine.
“We’re hoping to get a one-or-two sentence comment from a blogger in each of the 30 NHL cities regarding what one theme, issue or player (in their marketplace) they’re excited to see this coming season.”
I had a hard time coming up with a sentence or two, as well as one theme or player. So I sent Adam four questions (as seen in the image on the right):
- Who will standout in goal, the vet or the rookie?
- Will Mike Knuble crashing the net put the offense over the top?
- Is there room on the blueline for a fresh face like Karl Alzner?
- How will Alex Ovechkin amaze us this year?
With training camp opening tomorrow, it’s a good time to ask our readers “What are you excited about this season?” Leave us a comment with your reply had Adam contacted you (and try to keep it under 45 words since there was a space constraint for all the participating bloggers).
It’s not often you get your name published in The Hockey News, so I thank Adam for including me in the cover story.
