There’s a whole lot of college pigskin kicking off this weekend, but there’s also a fair bit of appealing hockey out at Kettler Capitals. The Caps’ rookies kick off fall camp by taking the ice for the first time Monday morning at 10:30, but there are plenty of veterans already in town, and they’re skating “informally” all weekend as well. This morning they’ll be on the ice at 10:00, Sunday at 10:30, and Monday at 1:00.
Among the vets is team captain Chris Clark, who told WaPost’s Tarik El Bashir this week that he’s the healthiest he’s been in two years.
I’m gonna man-cave tailgate with the pigskin a bit today, but I’ll be out at Kettler at the tail end of the weekend alongside some friends from Hershey, and I’ll have camera and recorder in tow.

We’ll be @ Kettler this Monday to watch the rookies and the ‘big guys’ in the afternoon.
This morning was just Jeff Schultz and two rookies. Love Jeff, but I was hoping for more guys on the ice…
We saw AnGus on the ice this morning – don’t know who the other dude was.
