I can't profess much in the way of objectivity when it comes to covering Killer. I will never stop telling the story of what he did for Washington's hockey community last year, when a wonderful coalition of Caps' blogs organized a benefit at Clyde's for Washington's only public high school hockey team, Wilson High. I asked him if he could sign and put in the mail a few color photos that we could put up for auction at the benefit, and instead he FedEx'd a giant -- and I mean giant -- box filled with memorabilia from his CHL team, in addition to the photos. Those photos, incidentally, looked amazing:

Brilliant. Just brilliant. That bobblehead will beat up any other bobblehead that comes near it. They need to add a helmet that pops off at the first sign of trouble. I can always remember watching Killer fight, and his lid would suddenly jump off as if it had springs attached.
By the way, Pucksandbooks, how much cause for alarm is there regarding this steroid story from Florida? As much as it pains me to admit, hockey isn't immune to this stuff.

Maybe Bob Woods would be considered from Hershey. Bruce and Bob combined to win the Calder Cup a couple of years ago and Bob knows the personnel that have moved and may move next year from the Bears to the Caps. He also has a good record with the farm team. He would also be familiar with Bruce's system, practice routine, etc. We would hate to lose him but it would be a great opportunity for Bob and could benefit the Caps. Go Bears!
