caps didn't trade huet. he was a free agent. how does a so called caps fan not know this? cmon now... bone up. i like it that dc is finally getting a larger fan base (i lived there for 4 years and went to many half full games at MCI) but some of the comments i see on caps blogs and hear on the junkies just reek of hockey ignorance.

The Caps have been victim to giving up 2-0 and 3-1 game leads. Multiple times. Y'know, they could be a victimizer this year.
We'll see what happens Fri night.

Another page in Caps' playoff history. I'm fully expecting them to win tomorrow and lose in either Game 6 or 7. Probably in dramatic fashion such as triple overtime or something like that.

You can say what you want about the Rangers- King Henry is playing fantastic hockey right now and their system is working. Torts has NY playing great.
However, the Caps need a spark plug- a guy who may not hit 40 goals but gives it everything, every game...Mike Ridley, Kelly Miller...remember those guys?
But throw out the lists and get me some guys who have HEART. Who know what it means to be in a must-win game situation and respond. The Caps were flat like they played back in the 80s and losing to the Pens for so many seasons.
They came out like it was the third game of the season the other night and paid for it. Had they played the entire game like the last half of the second and the entire third they would be headed back to Washington tied 2-2.
Cmon guys, we KNOW you can play better and beat anyone when you feel like it...time to prove it to yourselves.

I'm not liking the negative tone to this post, must be Rag fans posing as Cap fans. This is a seven game series, mark my words! One timely break in any of these games and we are the ones smiling.
The Zhamboni only had to clean half of the rink after the third period of game 4.
Green is getting healthier, Varly is awesome, the rink appears tilted!
Caps in Seven!!

I never thought we'd be in this hole against the very average NYR. I guess LUNDQVIST is that good. he IS the best player in this series. as much as it kills me to say it, I think we're done. Why did we trade Huet?

I agree. Clark has been out so much, I don't know how effective he will be, both as a Captain and on the ice. With Clark out so long, I really wish they had named an interim Captain because maybe if there has been a Captain who was playing, then they wouldn't have coasted at the end of the season. An interim Captain might have been able to get everyone to focus on playing like a team, and not spend so much time on distractions like pre-planned goal celebrations.

You might have the different opinion but I think that Montreal and Washington has at least one problem in common. The problem is absence of an offensive defenseman who can transfer the puck forward. To be more specific the names are Markov and Green to Montreal and Washington accordingly. Markov is injured and did not play. No more questions and as result of yesterday game Canadiens can book their flights to summer holidays. But what is about Caps Mike Green? I don’t know. Maybe he has an undisclosed injury or he is tired after long successful season, but something wrong with him. He is not skating, not shooting, not finishing his checks, he is losing his one on one battles and taking lazy penalties etc etc. Shortly, he is not himself. I don’t think Ovechkin, Semin, Kozlov, Fedorov and Varlamov are in any hurry to join Russian National team in Switzerland. So if Washington doesn’t want to join Habs and Blues something supposed to be done urgently. Do you know what's wrong with Mike Green? Let me know at http://hockeycards-nikale.blogspot.com/
