Great interview and that’s exactly what you do against Avery, ignore him. He can only hurt the Rangers if you do that. Leave the tough stuff to Erskine (who had a phenomenal game) and Brashier.

Did we quit when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?? (Work with me.) No! And this series is not over by any stretch of the imagination.
Really, the Caps play hockey like the Brazilian National Team plays soccer. Either they light it up, or they flame out magnificently. Either way, it’s compelling sport. There is no middle ground with this team.
They really seem to have decided ‘Oh yeah, it’s time to be the Rangers. Let’s get started.’

Well, since I’m taken, I’ll refrain from proposing to Varly…
But props to him, and good job on not taking Avery’s bait. Even after getting punched in the mouth, he just kept his cool. Kudos to Erskine for showing similar restraint earlier in the game after taking a similar slug from Avery.
