I tried an experiment and watched only the last two minutes. Obviously, I can watch no other playoff game, and it’s a sacrifice I will happily make.
YOU GOTTA BELIEVE!!!!!!!!!!!!
LETS GO CAPS!! LETS GO CAPS!!
VARLY FOR PRESIDENT.
theo for…hmm…gardener? maid? caddy?
We are going to need him, so let’s not hate him too much.
Don’t change a thing.
I shaved the beard and rocked the red wine…. both are in order for Wednesday.
I think we did everything right tonight.
Go to the crease, team play, strong goaltender – check.
Watching Avery look like a t**l getting a 10 minute for hitting and yapping at Varlamov (who wont understand him anyway) when his team is down 3-0 in the game — Priceless.
(and am I the only one who thinks that Mike Green is hurt?)
mehh i know…
but it is very easy to get excited for the future (and, seemingly, present) of this franchise in net. he’s fantastic.
welcome to the nhl, varly
I threw out all the superstitions also. So much for those!
No I posted on Japer’s that as well. He took about 2 or 3 slap shots that had no ummph behind them. Every other time he shot, it was a wrister (look at the first 2 pp’s of the game). He’s not 100%. But we need him if we want to rattle of 3 more wins in this series.
Varly was simply amazing, but you have to give the D credit. 13 blocked shots, and they were able to stymie the Rangers offense.
When the Caps force the Rangers to play THEIR game, I’m not sure the Rangers have the skill to keep up.
I think Green was hurt in the last game where he got knocked ass over teakettle into the wall. That looked nasty. I was surprised when he got up and kept playing.
It looked like Green was hesitant to unload the slapper from the point on the PP in game 1 as well, I kept begging him to shoot from 405 (think he heard me?). I hate to start rumors, but could his shoulder be ailing him still? I’d almost think this is more indicative of a wrist injury…
If this is the case, it would put a serious dent in any long-term plans this postseason. I don’t think we can get very far without his offensive production, unless Varly is truly the next Hasek being born before our eyes (NOOOOO problem with that whatsoever!). Hey everyone, which stud goalie of recent memory did Varly remind you of last night?
Someone photocopy that effort by our boys and pass it around the ‘room for the rest of the playoffs, I haven’t been more proud of our guys in a while! WAR CAPITALS!!!
