Tremendous overview of the extraordinary hockey community that comprises our farm in today’s Washington Post, ‘A Bear Market That’s Thriving.’ Tarik and Katie offer a lively illustration of the longstanding puck passion found in historic Hershey, Pa., in their words and on-line images.
We are very lucky to be affiliated in the American League as we are. The synergy between Hershey and Washington extends from the mid-week stands during practices at Kettler Capitals all the way through the Giant Center press box on Saturday nights.

Dunno if anyone saw the video accompanying the story, but there was one clip of an older gent keeping score — simply as a fan. Aside from the OFB folks who hang out in the Phone Booth press box on game days, does anybody else do that? In my stupidity, I used to think that only baseball fans did that.
With that in mind, perhaps a post with a primer on how to score a hockey game for those of us chillun’s who wish to learn from the awesome OFB folks might be in order?
