The Washington Post’s Dan Steinberg recently told us that the Caps were his “meal ticket” in covering D.C.’s sports landscape. His interview of Caps’ great and Hockey Hall of Famer Rod Langway is a fresh exhibit.
Langway, we learn from Steinz, despite living in Richmond, Va., is a regular in attendance at Caps games these days. The Capitals’ resurgence, Stenberg writes, ”has a lot of people rocking the red, and while Langway comes to games in dark colors, he’s there in spirit.
“I just wish I could play here,” he said, as fans streamed into Verizon Center.
