For those of you going to the game today, here are some traffic concerns — street closures and drumlines. We’ve already told you about the street closures, but drumlines? While waliking the main concourse yesterday, we first heard then saw the latest to the Caps game day entertainment. The Caps Drumline paraded around the concourse complete with Drumline tshirts, green? snares, quads, base drums and cymbals. When you hear the cadence, you may want to step aside as they may march you down.

so gabby apparently laid into semin a bit during the second intermission yesterday (which I’m sure everyone knows). I recall a couple seasons ago (maybe) Ovi was sat by Hanlon when he kept taking shifts that were too long. I know our current coach is very different from Hanlon, but should he take a note out of the previous leaders playbook? All these penalties are a lot more serious than taking liberties with your shift, so why not send a message. Yes semin has incredible talent, so you don’t want to mess over the team by scratching him, but you can’t just let him get away with this behavior.

Semin’s offensive outburst this season has been most welcomed and engenders fanciful thoughts about his ultimate arrival at superstar status, but his biggest challenge, it seems to me, is to play a style of game such that when he is not on the scoresheet he is not only not hurting his team but still helping. That was not the case Saturday afternoon, from my vantage. And consequently Gabby has him slotted on the third line today.

everything’s working. yesterday wasn’t really a bad game (except for the pk/penalty thing) but compared to today yesterday was crap.
I can’t believe I missed this game! I thought for sure it was at 7pm for some reason. *facepalms*
