No visor-wearing by President Obama on the matter of D.C.’s instant vapors over the falling of freezing precip: appropriately indignant over his daughters’ losing a day of school for no good reason, he called us out yesterday for our winter wimpiness:
“When it comes to the weather, folks in
Washington don’t seem to be able to handle things,” a joking Obama told
reporters Wednesday morning.
“My children’s school was canceled today because of what? Some ice.”
Obama said his daughters — Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7 — pointed out that school in Chicago is never canceled.
“In fact, my 7-year-old pointed out that you’d go out for recess. You wouldn’t even stay indoors,” Obama says.
“We’re going to have to try some flinty, Chicago toughness to this town.”

You tell’em Barack. I think the problem is there are too many lawyers in this town with itchy trigger fingers.
Hey he’s supposed to be Superman right…well instead of spending all our money paying back the people who got you into office…How about flying down and picking up all the kids and using your super powers to transport all the children to their schools! Go caps GO

OK…so then why, according to the NY Times this morning, Does Mr. Flinty have to crank up the theromostat because, as an advisor put it, he can’t stand the cold?
Someone should point out to him that it was his fancy private school that was canceled, a lot of the public schools in VA were open. I think its people with those big fancy houses on hills that freak out about the snow/ice. In chicago everything is flat.
