Check out the NHL Outsider on MVN. Each week they take a look at the bulls and bears of the NHL. This week sees Washington rising and Pittsburgh falling.
Washington – The Capitals have gotten fairly little publicity,
but they won three more to run their win streak to eight games, and are
now an impressive 15-4 since Thanksgiving. The trio of Ovechkin, Semin,
and Backstrom is on an absolute tear right now, along with a
combination of Jose Theodore and Brent Johnson in goal that can
suddenly do no wrong, allowing two goals or less in four of the last
five games.
