Nice to see Karl get his first goal!!!!
So, Borque or Mink back up? Good to see we have depth at all levels of the organization. Way to go Chocolate Town!

Crap overturned goal. Usually I can find some way to at least see what the officials see. Might the boys in Toronto be afraid of rioting on their doorstep if they side against the Leafs? Sure, it may have gone off the foot — but that alone does not disallow a goal. In all the replays I saw, I’m not convinced of a “distinct kicking motion”. Rather, a player getting hit from behind trying to keep on his feet and trying to make a play on the puck after it went off his foot (even if it wasn’t hit with a stick). Good thing it didn’t matter tonight.
Too bad there’s a game tomorrow. A bit of rest (and travel time for the next token Bear call-up) might do the team some good.
Good for the defense in supplying all the offense needed tonight.

    Grooven,
I’m totally with you on the Laich robbery. When the Caps scored about 90 seconds later, my gamemate Pepper bellowed “Review that, why don’t you!”
FYI, the latest casualty is Eric Fehr (shoulder).

i was really disappointed tonight when johnny didn’t get a star…i thought ovie played very well, but i am not sure it warranted a star…after tonight’s performance it really upset me that johnson didn’t get the recognition he deserved for such stellar play.
all in all though, a fabulous performance, and it really makes me happy that my only complaint is over a player not getting enough kudos!

You couldn’t have known in your beautiful seats in the lower bowl of the ACC, but Comcast SportsNet showed Fehr on the bench after the injury. There was NO QUESTION that he was in some SERIOUS shoulder pain.

Johnny did deserve a star for that performance. With the way that the Caps chances weren’t converting he definitely ought to have been recognized for how much he helped!
