Early reports are that Semin got hit in the face and will be fine. Hats off to Jose for a very stalwart performance.
it was said to be an upper body injury, probably the shoulder. he did get high-sticked to the mouth, but i don’t think that was what kept him out for a whole period, plus he kept playing after that happened.
i think he got driven home tonight, so it would make sense if it was like a shoulder strain or something.
Coach Boudreau said in the post-game presser that he expected Semin to play tomorrow night in New Jersey. We shall see.
Sprained shoulder is what was in WaPo this morning.
