  1. Is that not a wonderful image? And note that Kane, the player that Semin infamously compared favorably to Crosby, appears on the Points leaderboard while Crosby does not. Mmmmm, Schadenfreude…

I think this is shows how valuable Fedorov is to the Caps. I believe this is Feds influence on Semin and what he needs to do to really succeed.

The best of all of those stats for Semin is the +/-, after last year. I would still like him to take less lazy penalties, but its hard to say too many negative things about so far this year. Maybe his performance against Buffalo, but everyone has a stinker once in awhile.

Chris, you couldn’t be more right. Feds’ influence on Semin (and the team overall) has been invaluable.

Seeing Semin, Ovechkin, and Green all in the top five in +/- reminds me of seeing Datsyuk, Lidstrom, and Zetterberg there all of last season.
Semin really has picked up his defensive play. He does a good job of tieing people up without taking penalties and has been using the stick-lift takeaway that Datsyuk uses.
