    Beautiful clean hit but that huge glass shard that hit him on the helmet could have done some major damage.
    Maybe the cheap seats aren’t so bad…

    It’s funny because the leafs came to fight lucic or at least say something to him, and Lucic just seems to be like “wow, my bad.” and then, it seems, goes over to the fans to make sure they’re okay. Thats what I think happened anyway.

    I watched the video and I wonder if the glass would have shattered if he did start skating hard from the face-off circle and leave his feet when he hit Van Ryn. In the good old days (and I’m not that old) that was called boarding. Guys are getting killed on the boards after being slammed into by 230 pound men skating fast and leaving their feet to make the hit harder. I think Danny Briere could have broken that glass had he done the same thing, except he’d have to jump higher. lol.
