Number 8 Going Once, Number 8 Going Twice …

A month ago, we told you about Washington Capitals license plates for Maryland and Virginia.  You may recall that the Caps will host an online auction of the first 100 Maryland license plates with all proceeds benefiting Washington Capitals Charities.
The wait is over and the online auction is now open, but don’t procrastinate as bidding closes next Sunday, October 26th.
From the Caps’ web site:

To bid on a Caps Maryland license plate, you must be a registered driver in the state of Maryland and possess a vehicle with a valid Maryland registration. The Caps license plate may be displayed on a passenger car, multipurpose vehicle or a truck weighing up to and including one ton. Drivers may not display the Caps license plate on a motorcycle, boat or trailer.

The bidding for all numbers starts at $125.  As of this writing, #8 is sitting at an affordable $250 after 4 bids.  Should we start a pool guessing the final bid for 8?  What number would you want?
You can access the online auction by clicking here.
Oh, and Virginia, let’s be sure to get 350 applications so we can have our plates, too.
