I would have the say the “5 ways I would change the NHL” running series on puck daddy with special guest appearance by our own Mr. Leonsis was a nice addition to summer.

It was only a week or so from the conclusion of the SCFs, but my favorite summer hockey moment was congratulating Bruce on the night of the Awards Show, and to see him in such an ebullient mood, totally star struck by all of the hockey royalty around him.

My favourite story? Probably just the whole sense of optimism that surrounds the Caps right now. Its really strange to me as a life long fan to hear people on the radio and blogs discussing us as possible Stanley Cup contenders. Makes me feel a lot of pride.
Also gotta love Ovie’s youtube Russian Game show stuff…absolute gold
