I too had a first date at a Caps game. My date had never been to a hockey game, let alone understood or cared about the game itself. Now we have been married a little over a year and she wore her Rock the Red tee shirt for each of the Caps playoff games.

I remember vividly my Dad coming home back in the 1970′s and telling me to get ready, we were going out to dinner….I forlorny told my freinds I had to stop playing…we were doing a “family thing”….Well dinner turned out to be the 1st Caps game i had ever attended, back at the old Capital Centre….it didnt matter at all the Cps were shoutout by Ken Dryden and the Canadiens….just spending the evening with my Dad and a sport he enjoyed made this one of the best memories I have had in my 46 years…I know my father was looking on proudlt from above when I was screaming my lungs out at the playoff games vs the Flyers….Dad, 2008-2009 will be something special for the Caps..and most importantly to me, for you!
