The Washington Capitals have signed Boyd Gordon to a one year deal.  Tarik El-Bashir is reporting the deal is worth $725,000.  That leaves Shaone Morrisonn as the final player to sign.  Morrisonn has filed for arbitration and the hearing has been set for July 24th.
From the press release:
Gordon, 24, completed his fifth professional season with the Capitals in 2007-08, matching his career high with seven goals and adding nine assists in 67 games. Gordon won 55.8% of his faceoffs, good for second on the team and ninth in the NHL, and averaged 4:00 of penalty killing ice time per game, which was third among NHL forwards. His +5 rating was tied for seventh on the team. Washington was 7-0-0 when he scored a goal and 10-2-1 when he had a point.

yes, but where does he go? and who sits?
Nice problem to have for once, eh?
Just out of curiosity, where’s the press release announcing the signing of Federov? It was first reported he had signed on Monday, today’s Friday. How long does it take to process this “paperwork”?
No vapors necessary, b.orr4. The reports first surfaced Tuesday, out of Moscow. It was only on Wednesday that McPhee confirmed. At that time he said Sergei was flying somewhere. He indicated that the paperwork could require another three or four days. Enjoy your weekend — it’s been a good week.
OK, I’ll stow my paranoia for the weekend. But it’s coming out again on Monday if we don’t get a press announcement.
Recpect. This is the best site a have ever seen. Best regards to administration. Megaricpect
