Generally speaking, once you get a little west of I-81 Pennsylvanians tend to follow the Pittsburgh teams. State College tends to include more Philly fans and the student body is probably split pretty evenly, though the NY teams also are represented a little bit. The 2000 playoff series between the two Pa. teams is legendary in Happy Valley. The past series might have been if it had happened during the semester. A winter classic up there could be very successful -- 85,000 tickets sold.
When I&#039;m up there, I do my part to show a little DC sports pride. I always see a few curly W&#039;s around.</description>
