Sometimes an idea is so clever and well-executed that it brings a smile to one’s face. In this case, it brings a smile to one’s chest as well.
So for the Capitals fans who approached me about my attire during and after the Caps’ Game 5 victory: here is the link to the “Alexander Ovechkin as Che Guevara” t-shirt from a hockey supply outfit in Silver Spring. The “C” as a little hammer & sickle is a great touch. And on the left sleeve . . . let’s leave that as a surprise for those who purchase the shirt.

I on the other hand will be sporting the normal away colored jersey. But I did respike the hair, forgot to add color though
my shirt doesn’t have anything on the sleeve??
oh, if you got one of those shirts you will have to look very closely. I saw it and LMAO afterward.
I’m still not sure if I am really a fan of this. Apart from trying to get me to wear the hammer and sickle, it really doesn’t look too much like A.O. Maybe I’ll need to see whats on the sleeve.

What kind of freedom loving American, let along hockey fan, wears a shirt sporting a symbol that stood for the murder and oppression of millions of innocent people. Not to mention the hundreds of Russian and Eastern European hockey players it prevented from playing in the NHL during the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s. Che Guevera was Castro’s executioner in Cuba and had the blood of thousands of innocent dissidents on his hands and yet there’s one too many a moron who thinks it’s cool to wear an Ovechkin shirt sporting this symbol and modeled after a banner mytholgizing this this murdering thug… Pathetic…
