Thesis: New Pecking Order in Local Pro Sports

Monday night:

Playoff hoops in a hoops city. LeBron.

The Caps in the NHL's opening postseason round.

Guess who's on Comcast SportsNet tonight and who's banished to the broadcast basement of News Channel 8.

Just sayin'.

Good Point-but too bad for those of us who want to watch both teams? Who makes these schedules???

Game 6 potential series ending (or extending) game compared to a road game 2 with nothing on the line.

Seems like a no brainer...even for Comcast.

This is extra-lame, regardless. C'mon abe, I buy tickets to both teams' games. Quit snatching my playoff bones.

Self-indulgent BTW: Anyone catch the VC playing "UWAY" during the third period?

If Abe had any say in this, he'd have made the caps play at Ketler just to get the baskets ready for the Wiz next home game.

But yes the NBA does suck for scheduling this game and game 1 the SAME EXACT TIME AS THE CAPS GAME.

The Wiz may be on News Channel 8 here, but unlike the Caps, they're also on national tv in HD (TNT).

All that matters to us is the important media market -- right here. For far too long it's been hostile-indifferent to hockey.

Hmmm...well as of 11:41AM today (4/21) DirecTV has Comcast and ComcastHD showing Caps vs. Flyers at 7:00PM and *then* Wiz. vs. Cavs game being "broadcast" at 11:00PM.

Tivo-time for you 2-sport fans!

The Wizz will have to wait as one fan wrote TIVO....and if you don't have TIVO well then as the Irish man in Braveheart said "I am pretty sure your @@@@##!"
GO CAPS Game 6 is all that matters!!!
Who's watching basketball anyhow didn't the Terps loose awhile ago!

Although I am a huge caps fan and could care less about the Wizrds, it is possible that the Caps game is on Comcast since the wizrds' game is already on national TV--TNT.

Bobtimist-

I was at the game but didn't hear it. That's great that they played it, though, I always thought it would be a good idea. Make dem folks scream HU-ET!

I think Comcast made the right choice. ;-)
