They took their considerable songwriting talent and purposefully fed the evil beat known as disco. Once you start down the dark path, forever will it consume your destiny.

Hmmm, I’ve never particularly liked “Runnin’ Down a Dream” as a theme song (although Tom Petty is somewhat godlike in my mind) because of this:

As for “Don’t Stop Believin’” being a cheesy song…of course it is. It’s the ultimate schmaltz. But isn’t that fitting for a team whose run is the stuff that sappy Disney movies are made of? Forget Lecavalier and St. Louis, those two can just use “Happy Together” by the Turtles. Or how about this jingle?

its funny that Nick Backstrom would be adopt this song (Dont Stop Believing) for the team, my daughters name is Journey, middle name Alexa after Ovechkin, and i own a Backstrom jersey. ahh how the world works.
