A 5-1 road trip? Who'd have imagined....and who among those that imagined it still thought the Capitals would be on the outside looking in for the playoff picture?

Can't ask for anymore from this team. They have played great down the stretch. No quit. The hole was just too big to pull out of (Thanks Hanlon!)...yet they have almost done it. Keep digging, clawing, scraping, pick axing, harpooning, grappling, and fighting Caps.

I just noticed a VERY sweet schedule quirk. After the Caps and Canes play on Tuesday, the Canes play a rested TBay team the following night. On Thursday the Caps play that same Tbay team coming off the game vs. Carolina. Then more of the same vs. Florida. The Panthers are off Thursday get Carolina on Friday, followed by a game in Washington. So on two occasions, the Canes face a rested opponent and the Caps get them the following night. Let's do this.

That game on Tuesday is gonna be crazy. All of a sudden the division is up for grabs again!

JR,
I was watching the end of the Canes/Bolts game and the Canes announcers were mentioning that very quirk. Let's hope it works in the Caps favour.

Love John Erskine, but Cats' color commentator Denis Potvin was 100% right on the last call against the Cats. Erskine turned on that guy at the last second. Cheesy way to draw a penalty.

The Caps had better start moving the puck on the PP. If Green isn't standing at the point holding the puck, Backstrom is standing around with it. Most good PP teams never stop the puck for long. PP is not good and could end up being the Caps' undoing. Let's hope not.
