The Atlanta Journal-Constitution featured the following photo on their online Sports section this morning. Apparently there’s a new ladies man in town- Kozlove! Rowr.Seriously, this is laziness at its best. How hard is it to check a player’s name- especially in a town where they already have a Kozlov? Not to mention that “Viktor” is spelled wrong too. I suspect that Atlanta just doesn’t care anymore, and who can blame them. Two wins in the last 17 games would depress me too.
Over at the AJC’s Thrashers Blog, Craig Custance shared this item:
Mark Recchi is part owner of the Kamloops Blazers in the WHL and his team is taking on Olaf Kolzig’s Tri-City team in the first round of the playoffs, so they have a sidebet going.
Now THAT could get interesting. According to Custance, the Blazers are the underdog, so Olie could make out well on this deal.

On Tsn some GM says OV only scored 14 goals in 21 games when hanlon was the coach and how great players should always be great. That would then appear to equal 2 goals in every 3 games. which over 82 games gets you 54.6 goals. How many people are going to score 54 goals this year? not a lot of average or even good players on that list.
I saw that Backstrom pic this morning and just about fell off the couch.
I think it is disrespectful.
BTW, try accessing TSN and click on “Alex Ovechkin” for player profile information. Do you know what message I have been getting all morning? “Player not found.”
Ovie is definitely MVP this year (coming from a Canuck die-hard who knows how valuable Bob Luongo is to the team).
Even if the Caps miss the playoffs it doesn’t diminish his value to the team. However, I’ve been pulling for your Caps the past couple of months and would love to see this exciting young team get a chance to play when it counts. GO CAPS! (unless they run into certain teams/players I pull for)
