I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed in Comcast. They claim that I get CSN+ on Channel 19. I switched over to there and do I see Alex Ovechkin? No, its CSPAN 2. Argh! If they're gonna do it, at least let me see it!!!

No dice on CSN+ here in Hampton Roads either. Par for the course, alas. Should anyone have captured it on DVD, I know of one household that's interested in it....

I watched it for all of 30 seconds, right at the time of the first goal. I was distracted by the OvechKam and never saw the goal, so I switched back to the HD feed. Never went back.

I have it here in Staunton, but the time delay annoyed me as I went back and forth. What would enhance it maybe is to follow three different forwards during the night. Ovie isn't exactly electric sitting on the bench.

Real entertainment would have been putting a mic on Ollie, and hearing his comments on officiating, herding the D, etc.

I also found it boring. Like Ted said, hockey is a team sport, no sense in focusing on one player solely.

I saw it, and didnt watch. The iso makes it hard to see whats going on in the game, and, 2/3 of the time, he's on the bench. Interesting idea, but it doesnt work, IMO.

Proposition tested, and apparently it didn't do well, based on the small sample here.

Didn't strike me as a very good idea, not just for reasons Ted noted, but for the timing. This kind of distraction in the midst of a "fight for their lives" playoff run isn't the smartest idea that's come down the pike recently.

If it's going to be done, do it early in the year...but having read these comments and some others, it seems that the test of the "OvechKam" won't be repeated.

Personally, I'd rather watch him live ;-)

Agreed. The best way to watch him is at a live game -- to see what he does away from the puck without having to tune out the rest of the game. Even the replay of his goal on the cam showed him surrounded by open ice -- you didn't see where the pass came from, you didn't see how close he was to the goal, you didn't see where the puck went. But kudos to Comcast for trying something different.

didn't like it at all, distracted from the game and as one poster said, the iso left him out in space, you couldn't switch from the game to the iso fast enough to see the context of his skating and scoring. thumbs down
