   This goaltender situation is perfect for the Capitals — the direct competition seems to have re-energized Kolzig. Huet was terrific in his first two games, but no need for Boudreau to jump the gun and name a starter when both are playing well. Platoon them, keep them both healthy and happy, and only name a #1 if a clear hot-hand emerges.
   Side note: 1 penalty for Buffalo, with 19 seconds left in the game? Really? C’mon refs. Nice PK for the Caps tonight though.
