Keep an Eye on Ovechkin

Remember when we told you about FSN West’s broadcast of the Kings / Ducks game and their Rinkside View? Comcast SportsNet MidAtlantic will be doing something unique along the same lines as FSN West.

On Wednesday, March 12, when the Calagry Flames visit the Caps, Comcast SportsNet will show the regular broadcast on their normal outlet. The fun angle will be over at Comcast SportsNet Plus where they will show Ovech-Kam for the entirety of the game. For those who don’t know what Ovech-Kam is, it’s simply a TV camera focused solely on AO. Sure this is not something you’d want to watch every game, but it almost makes me want to give up my tickets for that game to be able to sit at home to flip back and forth between the two broadcasts. The TiVo will be working overtime on that night.

Does that mean Ovie will be wearing a cam, or they’ll have a cam dedicated to him?

Either way, I’ll be at the game, so my DVR will be watching this for me.

Oh boy, let’s watch two minutes of Ov sitting in the penalty box serving a too many men penalty.

Interesting. Being able to see AO sitting on the bench watching the scoreboard for 2 minutes between shifts. Then we would watch AO skating with the puck, cutting across the slot, he shoots…and we have to watch his reaction to see if it goes in the net.
Might record it and skip to the exciting scenes.

Might actually learn some Russian (or “bad Russian”) watching him :)
