And now Ovie ahead of Malkin in scoring, and Backy ahead of Kane in rookie scoring.

If only an 8 goal margin of victory provided more than 2 points.

A huge victory. Boston has been a hungry team, and still may end up first in their division. Victories by the Caps over first place teams have too often been described as losses by the favorites rather than victories by the Caps. And the Caps themselves have lost too many games against opponents they have beaten. Tonight’s victory, against a possible first round playoff opponent was key in establishing that this team does not just do flukey wins, but that they have power and that they can beat the teams around them, not just those way above them.

I nearly ran off the road after leaving my dance class last night and turning on the game on my xm radio.

Ovechkin was magnificent last night and the rest of the team seemed fired up to play.

    Great game, Caps!
