Sovetsky Sport today provided OFB with photos of Alexander Ovechkin and Sergei Fedorov training together in Russia last summer. Unlike many UFA transactions, it seems the league’s leading scorer already has some chemistry with the new Capitals centerman. Welcome to the neighborhood, Sergei!

I’m thrilled out of my minds for you, Caps fans. You are lucky to get a player with otherworldly talent and then pair him up with a one-time otherworldly talent himself.
Even though I’m a Wings fan, Ovechkin is one of my favorite NHL’ers out there (Steve Yzerman ranks up there as my all-time favorite athlete) and for him to play alongside an idol of his is probably just too much for him already. LOL!
