While watching last night’s episode of The Simpsons, I nearly fell out of my chair upon seeing the following segment about the print media’s impending demise.
Much gratitude to YouTuber “Deadprint” for getting the clip up so quickly. And kudos to Steven Goff and The Washington Post for having the required self-deprecating sense of humor to post the clip on their site.

You want to know how stupid the MSM is? I live in a VA General Assembly Senatorial district that voted almost 75% for GWB in 2004… The Staunton News Leader, which is owned by Gannett (pronounced Ga-Nay, no joke)is as liberal as you can get…
When we went door-door distributing flyers, we would look for specific houses of known Republicans (by their voting records)… the majority of the homes didn’t take the local paper, as they didn’t have a paper box….
It was flabergasting…. I made a point of asking about this, and the same response…. that paper is so Liberal and gives me so little news, I don’t even bother anymore….
I have posted this in the newspapers blog and on my own (they link to me), and they don’t even make an effort to change their editorial content nor news coverage….
This is pure, pure, Natural Selection of the Species, as the ‘dinosaur’ newspaper refuses to adapt to it’s surroundings to survive…..
I can’t wait to see the predators eating out their innards, and for the WaPo…. it’s a different scenario… but a dinosaur none the less…..
