I hope they give those foam fingers to upper-level sections. We never get the T-Shirt Toss or even the Pizza Delivery.
Here’s a thought…my experience as a fan would be vastly improved if they fix the f-ing ice so I can watch a good hockey game.
Down here in Atlanta the Thrashers (shudder) have lots of great stuff for fans, especialyl kids to do. They have a giant wheel anyone can spin just by waiting in line that’s guaranteed to get you a prize ranging from a pack of cards to tickets to a future game or a jersey, shot accuracy games sets up, a place where kids can put on goalie equipment and try to stop pucks, etc. They’ve done a great job of making it more about getting down to Philips and having fun rather than just watching the hockey game; the Caps would be well served to do the same.
I personally plan on eating my weight in one-dollar hot dogs… of course, that means my weight will increase, so I’ll have to eat more dogs, which means my weight will increase, so I’ll eat more dogs… arrgh, I’m on the Möbius Strip of eating!
I know what would really lift my spirits as a devoted fan this season –a record-setting 15-game unbeaten streak. Wake me when this nightmare is over…
I thought they were already giving us the finger.
Dollar hot dogs, free t-shirts, and foam eagle talons should really enhance the fan experience.
