  • Pollock would not have been in the NHL this season; as for his development, it’s too early to tell for sure but he likely tops out as a 5-6 D-man in the bigs (at best).

    But as with Alex Semin a couple years ago, when he failed to report to the AHL and was suspended by the Caps, this is nothing more than a temporary measure. The Caps still own his rights I believe, so they can bring him back in (or up) next season if they choose to do so.
