Depends on how many times you face Ovechkin.

    Ouch!

    Very nice effort.

There is no light at the end of the tunnel this year. I think GMGM is gone soon.

    Notes:
Convert Green to forward - he was as good as OV tonight…I think I saw Poti actually shoot at the net tonight…No way Rod’s stick wasn’t above the crossbar given the down angle and his distance from the net…Semin’s other ankle was slashed this time, won’t see him again until ‘08 - spring or fall is anyone’s guess…I gotta change my Staples “Easy” button so it has Craig Laughlin saying “no white shirts in front of the net”. Caps need more speed and they didn’t sign any for this year…Caps would have a great PP if they shot the puck…They’re back to their pre-Boudreau habits of keeping along the boards, looking for the perfect play…Next time the Caps watch game film they should watch the opposition for scoring ideas…at no time did Washington look like they believed they had a chance.

The boys played very well tonight. I agree that Green looked great… But he looked like a great -defenseman- to me. Lets not make that move.

Was at the RBC Center tonight — the Caps played a great game… try to keep Ovie from falling on the ice when he celebrates a goal though!

Nylander was all over the place tonight too.

Olie Kolzig pulled a David Tanabe move with the “own goal” tonight.

This has been a great series this season.

The own goal came off the stick of Ovechkin. The shot went right by Kolzig.

pgreene! I’m with ya on the Oscar vote…I think he was trying to make a 6 on 4 into a 6 on 3. If it was his bad ankle I’d be of the mind that the slasher was intending to take him down.

I’m not impressed with Semin - never was - not even with 38 goals last year.

On my last Semin comment, I should say that the jury is still out. I do hope I’m wrong about him.

Between gloving puck last year and throwing it at the net, his diving, his refusal to return to DC a few years back, he just seems immature to me.

I do believe his ankle hasn’t been 100% at any time this year. I hope that’s why he doesn’t look as good this year as last.
