That said, this was necessary for the CAPS... Hanlon couldn't get the team out of the cellar, and this season has been the worst... My only disappointment is that McPhee wasn't kicked to the curb as well... His performance as GM has been dismal for most, if not all, of his tenure... He needed to go just as much as Hanlon, if not more... I want to wish Glenn Hanlon all the best in his future endeavors. I really think Hanlon will continue to be an excellent coach at the NHL level, he just wasn't the guy for the Caps right now. Hopefully we can now get back to the magic that was games 1, 2, & 3 this season. Happy Thanksgiving and LETS GO CAPS!
