Rinkside View is a JOKE!!! I can see people who never have actually seen the telecast think it's a cool idea. But do people who have actually seen this format really like it? I'm sorry, but this format needs to go. The cameras jump around so much, they don't even know where the puck is half the time. And by the time you do catch where the puck is, you most likely missed a big play. I was dizzy watching the angles change so much. And you only get a small percentage of the play that's going on. With the traditional view of up higher, center ice, you can see what is going one and see plays as they develop. You really never miss whats going on with this view, and you see things unfolding outside of where the puck is. This rinkside view misses all of this. I was so excited for hockey to start, but if I have to watch it with this new crazy rinkside view format, I may just read a good book instead. I love hockey, but I can't stand the rinkside view, it gives me a headache, and I feel like I'm just sitting in a bad seat during the game. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I remember a game on tv where the sound was screwy and there was no play-by-play.
But what was even better was when a game at Verizon was having sound problems and there was no piped in noise, just the game announcer. I have no problem with someone making the official announcements of goals and penalties. But aside from that... It was all up to the fans. THAT was most enjoyable.

Started watching it in the 2nd period as well. It was the best sporting viewing experience I ever had. Felt like I was in the best 100 section seat for every play.

I think that they should let us watch sports on television like we can with movies on DVD.

There would be multiple sound channels (commentators, rink noise, fan noise, etc) and we could chose which ones we want or don't want.
