Geduld, Geduld. The “lowly” Caps are playoff bound and will earn respect as they go. The Leafs were once mighty, and the Toronto sports media can’t give it up.

Lowly until proven otherwise, sad to say. Losing at MSG again won’t help, nor will losing 7 of the last 9. The current pace certainly won’t make them playoff bound.

I can’t really agree that we have much to complain about, as far as media assessment of the team, until we can get past .500 and stay there for a couple of weeks, at least.

Don’t feel bad abot hating the Toronto Media, those of us from the big vast empty snow covered wasteland that is “the rest of Canada” hate the Toronto Media too. And I’m sure we will have the last laugh.

And as for the “Lowly” and “one of the worst” comments, the Maple Buds have essentially the same record as the Caps, if it were not for the concept of awarding a point for a tie at the end of regulation. I still cannot fathom why Bettman and the League decided this was a better way to go, along with the 5 minute OT and the shoot out. A loss should still be a loss.
