Any event that is informative & makes you feel closer to your team can turn a casual fan into a more serious one. But, even if you're "only" shelling out $65 - You've got it bad!

Hey! Thanks for the links! Good article, I think you touched upon all the key things.

One other thing I want to mention is that there wasn't very much advertising for this event. Just a link to the article on the Kings website and info on Lisa's website. I don't recall hearing anything on the Kings TV broadcasts. It's possible they didn't want the event to get too big....who knows.

Thanks for the update, Connie! Glad you had such a great experience. The on-ice time sounded like one of the best parts of the day.

Hi, and thanks for the mention! I did actually want to touch on the price of the event. We noticed that it was only $100 for the event which INCLUDED ONE ticket and when we were handed the ticket at the door we saw that it was worth $60. So that means we paid $40 for two tours, over an hour of on-ice time, AND we got to listen to Luc Robitaille speak about the Kings organization, with pucks and swag included. Not a bad way to spend my Saturday.

If this event is coming around your city I highly recommend it. Since this is the tour for the first book (Lisa Ovens has two more due out), I'm guessing that the events are going to be more fine-tuned with each year they are held.

p.s. I didn't mention this before, but when we finally sat down for the start of the game, I hadn't had a drop of alcohol but I was so incredibly happy with the day's events that I literally felt drunk.
