I am a relatively new reader, but I hope you will all remember, salute and carry on. OFB is a great hockey blog, and maybe you will be able to convince Empty to come back once in a while for a guest appearance. Who knows where the technology will be in a year or two? Keep up the great work …

I’m glad to hear that there are no pressing personal or helath concerns. That is always my first thought when reading news such as this.

I echo everything that pucksandbooks wrote. In talking to Empty this weekend, he told me how he struggled with this decision. All is well with him, so no worries of health or other personal concerns.
The time available to devote to both his job and the blog was less than he felt was required to meet his standards. As a true professional, he did not want both, much less one to suffer and made the difficult decision to skate away from the blog. After all, one pays the mortgage, the other does not.
We wish Empty nothing but the best. We’ll still talk puck over beers with him, just not as often.
