Don’t get me wrong, I am as happy as the next fan that we are getting all this attention. I love hearing “Capitals” and “playoffs” in the same sentence and not having people laugh as they say it. But is anyone else worried what it will look like come All Star break if we aren’t percievably in the playoff hunt? I just don’t want us getting over hyped, because then the only place to go from there is down.

  2. Great excerpt from Burnsides’ article:

“There is a tendency to suggest Clark is the NHL’s quietest 30-goal scorer. But that wouldn’t take into account the opponents he’s sent back to the bench rubbing their jaws or shoulders, muttering, “Oh, so that’s Chris Clark.” Or the netminders who have fished pucks out of their nets likewise muttering the same.”

Wow - Caps week on Comcast, Bob McKenzie, local media coverage at an all-time high, Caps blogging and podcasting at a frenzied pitch (and winning awards), the new/old jerseys, the HD screen at the arena, a playoff-contending roster, and now ESPN producing not just favorable comment on the Caps, but a whole running feature?!

    Strange, I don’t recall entering the gates of heaven . . .
