Keith Seabrook, drafted by the Caps in 2006 (52nd overall), has decided to
leave the Denver Pioneers to join Kelly Kisio’s Calgary Hitmen. The offensive blueliner will join Caps’ 2007 first round pick Karl Alzner in Calgary’s defensive corps.
Seabrook, the younger brother of the Chicago Blackhawks Brent Seabrook, had completed his freshman season for Denver, scoring 2 goals to go with 11 assists in 37 games for Denver. It’s expected that he will log big minutes for the Hitmen, and will be counted on to work significant time on the power play.

Who needs classe! Heh. Will be interesting to see how Seabrook adjusts to the WHL.
Alzner - Seabrook
Good call Strungout: Alzner-Seabrook whould be an impressive d-pairing for the Hitmen (and who knows, perhaps for the Caps as well in a few years).
Since we’re among friends, I think I can admit to owning a Calgary Hitmen jersey.
Why the shame?
It’s a Kris Beech jersey (and, to make matters worse, it arrived on my doorstep three days after he was traded to Pittsburgh for what’s-her-name).
Ugh.
Heh, good stuff JP. You can store that jersey right next to my autographed Jakub Cutta Czech Junior Team jersey.
I’m going to be in Calgary, Canada for 10 days at the beginning of October. Sadly, I’ll miss the Caps home opener. I may be able to take in a Calgary Hitman game if they play in early October. I enjoyed Alzner during the Rookie camp and it would be fun to see him again.
