Boumedienne back with the Caps?

According to eurohockey.net, former Washington defenseman Josef Boumedienne is back for a second tour with the club.Josef Boumedienne from WashingtonCaps.com The 6′2″, 205 pound Swede (who also has Finnish citizenship) spent portions of the 02-03 and 03-04 season in D.C. and amassed 15 points (3 goals, 12 assists) in 43 game with the Caps.
Boumedienne brings a good shot and solid power play quarterbacking skills to the blueline and plays with a bit of an edge, though he has a tendency to take bad penalties and can lose his man in his own zone occasionally.
It’s probably a bit early to be projecting Boumedienne’s role for the Caps in the 07-08 season, but it’s not a real stretch to think that he’ll receive significant time at the point in man-up situations, an area targeted for improvement this off-season. Hopefully this familiar face will be able to bring some offensive spark to the blueline.
