The Penguins have reached a deal to stay in Pittsburgh. Governor Ed Rendell has confirmed the deal. An official announcement is expected before the Penguins-Sabres game tonight.

Bummer I was looking forward to cheering them moving to KC…and some division realignment (queue get the caps the hell out of the SE)….

Heh, I enjoyed ESPN’s Page 2 suggestion:
“We say move the Pirates to KC and combine them with the Royals.”
Ugh. Looks like I won’t be running the streets in celebration this year.
